Just finished Wistril Compleat by Frank Tuttle

A really great fantasy read. Thought it's labeled a collection of shorts, the shorts are pretty long and the whole thing is about the same two (mainly) characters so it reads like any good novel. Suitable for YA and adults. Light, fun reading. I really enjoyed it.

If you like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo., you are in for a treat as The Girl Who Played with Fire is even better IMHO. And the third book in the series, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest comes out in May

Also, the movie version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is very good.

Has it not been released yet in the US? It's been available in the UK for quite a while.

And now I'm almost finished with "Undead and Unwed" - a quite hilarious chick-lit/romance/vampire story, as recommended by FlorenceArt. The premise sounded too weird not to give a chance.

According to Amazon, it will be available 25 May here. I suspect the publisher, owing to the success of the first two books here recently, is trying to time the release of the third book for the summer beach read market.

Most of our big selling books (and movies for that matter) tend to open for either the Christmas or the summer season.

BTW, have you read it and how did it compare to the first two?

I'm reading a YA book right now. It's called Prophecy of the Sisters, and so far, it's quite good. Twin 16-year-old girls in a historical, spooky, haunting story.

I'm reading a great book called Savor, about mindful eating. It's really really well written, and it's actually quite thought-provoking...making me think about the reasons people really overindulge.

This may sound really insecure of me...but I love having the Kindle for reading the more self-helpy/spiritual books on the subway, so noone sees the cover!

I've not read any of the trilogy yet. Everyone says how good they are, though, so they're definitely on my "to read" list. Very cheap on the Kindle.

Just about to finish The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Got The Girl Who Played with Fire lined up next and looking forward to it.
