Just want to introduce myself. I teach college. Haven't yet bought an ereader, because I can't decide between the kindle, nook or sony. Any suggestions would be MOST helpful and appreciated! thanks!!

e-reader purpose
mosty i want to download novels -- just basic reading since I travel a lot to lecture and am tired of shlepping books with me. I do need to know that I'll be able to download books in Israel -- not just in the States or Europe.
People have already been kind and given me advice; I didn't know there were so many e-readers on the market. I will be in the States in June, so buying one isn't a problem .

Hi Micheleh and welcome to MR.

I am very happy with my Sony. I decided against the Kindle as I didn't wanted to be tied to Amazon (that was my decision at the time with the knowledge I had - which wasn't much at all). The Nook wasn't on the market at the time so I can't say anything about it.
