Hmm, sorry you are having such issues. I've never delved into the details of epub, just read it that's how I use it.

I don't understand what your problem is. ePub is a container holding various content. What you get as a reader is an ePub file, viewable with the appropriate software on whatever hardware you use.

I'm not sure where the "couple dozen files, named weird never heard of things" comes in.

What are you attempting to do?

i have a bachelor party on sunday. Wife and husband together in one party

I got the program today: meet at 10.15 on sunday

drink coffee you bring yourself

go to park and eat your lunch?? (i think it's breakfast at this time) you brought yourself

at the parkinglot (if we can't find any space there we eat it by the roadside

)
We walk a short walk of 1 hour (i hate walking)
Then we walk a long walk of 2 hours (i really hate walking)
We spend time together (what did we do in the hours before???)
We say goodbye

I really hate this program, but has anyone got a good excuse to excuse myself

Doesn't sound much like a bachelor party to me - not any I attended anyway. Have you tried the 'oh dear I have a migraine' lately? Also nicely working: a stomach bug. Just dry retch a few times while calling in your apologies - not that I ever would do something like that

AARRGH!!!

There is an excavator operating right across the road from my office, and all I can hear is the continual drone of machinery. It's driving me nuts!!!!

Just announce that you hav a large blister. Or send retrospective apologies saying that you overslept (which may well be true).

Rant against the idiot who pushed me earlier at the train station, my hip still hurt from falling.
Someone else whose friend have been push too said he had probably stolen something, someone was running after him it seams.
