for lunch i had rice with chopped spinach and a bit of cream. i don't know whether that means there was a topping on the spinach or if the spinach was the topping. i like it on its own too, or in salads...

a bonny combination (except ye cream ... )

we sometimes mix peas and sweetcorn in with boiled rice....makes a lightish and pleasant meal...

beet leaves ? really ? you mean betterave ? i didn't know you could eat them. i don't think i've ever had them. i don't buy beets very often though. i like them in salads from time to time but in small doses very punctually.
