My solar-powered coriander-maker died.

Incidentally, though I know it won't be to everyone's taste, I quite like this watch:

Way to reduce your carbon foot print.

Alas I can't wear a watch. It always irritates my skin.

Yes, and it would increase my footprint just by the fact that i haven't worn a watch for years. I do like it as a "gadget" though.

By the size of that watch it would increase the size of anyone's footprint by wearing it as a snowshoe... Swissarmy watch?

@ Patricia.

This is what I bought on eBay for my iPhone.

NEW iPod & iPhone Solar Powered Battery Charger - White
Price: $72.95

I put it in a basket (without the 'phone) at 9.00am on a semi-cloudy day, and by 3.00pm it had charged up to full.

It weighs 4 ozs.

I am sure that you would be able to find something similar where you are.

If you want to know more, let me know.

Cheers.

I've actually got a solar charger already, thanks, nohmi. It works quite well in the summer. But Wales is grey and wet for much of the time. And the thing just doesn't work well on a cloudy day. I have been thinking about experimenting with placing the solar charger under a reading light (obviously when I was planning to read anyway).

I'm reluctant to buy another one: I don't think that would be a very green thing to do.
