I think it should replace the original one since it is more complete (has cover page, and all of the latest bells and whistles).

Wow, I just got a Kindle and found Calibre, what an awesome piece of software. I was searching for a recipe for the Austin Statesman but haven't had any luck. http://www.statesman.com/

Hi Andifink,

Thanks for your recipes. I'd try'd both but no one works with calibre version 0.6.46

For the 20min.ch recipe it gives the error: "expected an indented block (recipe15.py, line 11)"
And for the tagesanzeiger.ch recipe: "expected an indented block (recipe16.py, line 11)"

A few posts before there was an recipe for 20min.ch also, but the newspaper changed the layout of their page, so this recipe unfortunatly also doesn't work anymore

best regards

Ishu

Recipes and Python require proper indenting. You probably copied the recipe from a post here. The software here removes indenting if it's not inside code tags. You need to fix the indenting like other similar recipes are indented.

Hello!

I would really appreciate some recipes for some arabic news sites, such as:

BBC Arabic http://www.bbc.co.uk/arabic/
Al-Masry Al-Youm - http://www.almasryalyoum.com/rss_channels
Al-Jazeera - http://www.aljazeera.net/AljazeeraRs...L=RSS-News.xml
Al-Ahram - http://www.ahram.org.eg/RssContent.aspx

I tried using the custom option in Calibre, but the resulting ebooks were not formatted correctly at all, and basically didn't work on my Kindle.

I do not know about Kindle - and mobi format but epub has problems with LTR languages (arab, hebrew etc.) so I'm not sure if it will be rendered correctly.

If I find time during weekend I will try one of the sites you suggest and let you know how it works.
