I gave instructions and a template for these changes here.

I have never seen any mention of white space on the left? I attached examples in the linked post of what I did.

If the icon is wider than 70 pixels, the text it writes over the icon. If you start the text with spaces, the text is separated of the icon.

Sorry for my annoying beginner question, but with the latest version of PRSP how do I install it together with PRSCostumizer?
I'd like to have browse folders feature,
and also custom icon set, and custom logo.
I made a nice round set for the tabs and I don't want to lose that.

Install PRS+ 1.02 and then Flashing kBookAssets.png and kBookIcon.png (only this custom files)with Igorsk-Universal Flasher

If you post it (along with PRS+ specific icons, check surquizu's iconset above) it *might* be integrated into the next PRS+ release.

Here is how I added the custom logo and icons.

Updated: added step 3.

1. Install PRS+
2. Install Igorsk's Universal Flasher on an SD card (I used a empty SD card).
3. You must verify that the folder files.505.1.1.00.18040 and the its subfolders (in SD Flasher) are empty. Delete ALL files.
4. Place the customized kBookIcon.png and kBookAssets.png file in the files.505.1.1.00.18040\opt\sony\ebook\application\ resources\scripts\ directory on the SD card.
5. Start Igorsk's Universal Flasher make a new image (press 5).
6. Then Flash the image (press 6).

That should do it, remove SD card, and allow it to reboot.

I think I see, if I use the full 70px-210px then I would have to ensure any text I insert is preceded by enough spaces to keep it from stepping on my keeping honest people honest logo (example attached to previous post.)

Hi,

sorry if this has been answered before in this thread (too many pages to look through...). I have a UK 505 with a 1.2 firmware. Will I need to change to the American 1.1 firmware first? If yes, how do I do that? Will I need the Universal flasher for that?

If you install the PRS+, your firmware will change to the US version automatically. However, the only difference is the date is the wrong way round, so it's more an irritation than anything else.

PRS+ Installer would do it, after showing you a warning message (it will also backup your existing firmware, files are saved in internal memory).

One thing I strongly recommend in your case is to reduce the number of books (if you have like hundreds+) in IM / external card, when you do it, to avoid nasty out of memory problems. (as you will be flashing 2 partitions: RootFS & Fsk, instead of only Fsk)

Is there a way to flash custom fonts for lrf viewing? I use to do it with PRS Customizer. I'd like to be able to flash a font and still have PRS+.

I was able to get a custom logo using dwanthny's instructions above. Is there something similar for fonts?

Just to be clear; I'm not talking about custom fonts for epubs using css. I've already got that. I still prefer reading lrf's and I'd like to have the internal fonts swapped out.

Since you figured it out you get a prize. I attached a zip file with the default tt0011m_.ttf (Dutch801 Rm BT) file that comes with the reader and another tt0011m_.ttf that is actually the free fontin font disguised as the default font.

I don't use lrf anymore, what font did you place on the reader for lrf?
