Which beetroot are you using, the typical vegetable we eat or the sugarbeet? Those two are radically different from one another.

I used to have a recipe for beetroot cake (same idea as carrot cake). Never tried it though.

"Chocolatier" (sp??) had a bunch of recipes from a century ago or so. When cooks used up all the left overs. I tried a chocolate cake with sauerkraut once. It added moisture and a little texture, but wasn't tasted at all. It just sounds so weird!

Just got back from hospital. They took out my staples and made another cast to lock my ankle for another 40 days.

I manged to take pictures. So not to gross out any sensitive people, the pictures are on an album on my page. Linky.

Um... (ugh) What's the metal bit sticking out? I ask, just to make sure I won't have similar bits of metal sticking out, after my hysterectomy.

I like the bridge and rocks and river pic better.

Yes, it is a pin and it goes right through the ankle and is joined to an 8" long plate consolidating a triple fracture on that bone. There are something like 8 fractures total and two missing ligaments, they had to take them out.

Yes, that bridge is really pretty. Wish I lived next to it...

It's one I built a few years ago that I moved to another location during the holidays. Until I broke that ankle I was building it an accompanying desk, the lone drawing there...
