I thought she was testing "thread". To hold hubby's buttons in place. I mean, it SAYS so, right at the top. "Test Thread". And we wouldn't want anybody's buttons falling off.

It is Science fair time, and we're doing the oceans...and the myriad occupants of same.

Speaking of threads.......I've started a wonderful end of year wall hanging for my teacher. Gosh, it feels good to start sewing again.

Seriously, I love you all, and check in on you daily....but I"m at school 7 1/2 hrs a day, Monday thru Friday, for free yet, and by the time I get home, the first thing I'm obliged to do is take a shower to get rid of most of the 'cooties' I've picked up...after that I'm useless.....I'm loving every minute and wish more people could volunteer and reap the benefits. You would think 1st graders did know much, but we're already doing fractions, double digit addition and subtraction, learning earth science, and the importance of legible handwriting, not to mention what a complete sentence is. They read and do reports on what they've read, and thats hard for a 6 year old.

They suck up knowledge like little sponges, drive you nuts with their repetitive questions, and I wouldn't trade one second with them.

I've now put "good" teachers in the same class as police and firemen...all are essential to our safety........ignorance is a dangerous thing.

'sigh. And I was just gonna say "hi"........

Glad you said a little more, and I'm *really* glad you love your "hobby" so much. (Can't call it a job if you are a volunteer!)
