Best type of case for me.... Anyone have m-Edge?

I'm trying to decide what kind of case to get (currently my kindle is in a 98 cent padded envelope). Here's what I'm thinking
  1. I want one that protects the Kindle and screen while in a backpack or other bag.
  2. I want to be able to read it without having to fold back half the case (meaning the wallet type seems to be out).

The m-Edge Leisure looks pretty cool, but I'm wondering how well it protects the screen against pressure and bounces. The m-Edge touring also looks great, but of course, it is a sleeve and won't provide protection while reading.

What to get....

I have both the m-edge and Oberon. they are both very good covers and I feel my Kindles are safe in them. the Oberon is thicker with a very rugged leather case. I have tock both of them in my Camelbak and skied with them without worrying. I would almost be willing to step on my Oberon to prove the point, but money is tight at the moment in case my black cloud should reappear

yeah, but it's pretty much a one time expense and so worth it!

I have M-Edge and Oberon as well, and agree.

I prefer the Oberon. One negative (for me) about the M-Edge is that the grey interior tends to get dirty after using it folded back for weeks.

I was volunteering at a dog event today and left my Kindle with Oberon on a table outside. we got a drenching northwest spring rain. the Kindle and the inside of the Oberon were snug and dry!

The Touring sleeve (black) works for me. I've had my Kindle for about 2 months and it's constantly in my full backpack. The material is fairly stiff, so the Kindle is well protected. I prefer a naked Kindle, so I pull it out, lie it on the sleeve and read. Also, it looks and feels good.

The M-Edge has great covers if you want to keep a booklight with your Kindle. The Oberon covers are works of art and IMO have great hand feel.

The OP asked about the Leisure Jacket. I have one of these and if you plan to carry it in a backpack with other items, you can turn it over so the screen faces down then turn it back over when you plan to read. You just have to unzip the jacket each time you want to flip your Kindle.

Agree. But the M-Edge ones are slightly more reasonable. Love the Oberon ones though. They are beautiful.

Just convinced hubby to get me an Oberon case as a wedding anniversary present The PRS-600 was meant to be a birthday and anniversary present but I talked him into making it just a birthday present! Hehe.

Can't wait to get my Oberon case now

It was SO hard to decide! I left it up to hubby in the end, since he was getting me the present. I think he got me the Roof Of Heaven in blue. It was posted last week and I just checked and it's arrived in Aus. Hopefully delivery tomorrow or the next day

I love browsing the Oberson website. All their products are gorgeous!
