Just finished, and Concrete Underground was every bit as good as I expected it.

I loved its dreamy, cyclical nature. I loved the little inconsequential(or not) details, like the art installations, or the description of the faults of mystery fiction, or the pieces of wisdom spoken by unexpected characters in unexpected moments. I loved its definite Lynch-esque feel. I loved its punk-as-f*ck language.

I will definitely re-read, to catch details I didn't on the first reading, and to enjoy again scenes that stuck with me.

I've now read everything you have online, Moxie, and I have to say you are in my very short list of writers whose books I eagerly await, and will drop everything else to read.

Cool, if it helps, I posted the PLAYLISTS on my site, including links to where they're available at iTunes/Amazon and an embedded player so you can stream most of the tracks free.

Thanks so much! And that goes double for posting your review at Smashwords.

When I was writing it, I wondered about how people would react to this one, what they might like and what they might hate, and I realized that the highest praise possible for this particular book would be for someone to say that after finishing it, they wanted to go back and read it a second time to pick up on the nuances. So thanks again!

Well, your main hero is the MOST unlikeable character I have ever liked in a book ;-)
I am almost through the book and I will post more when I finish it. Definitely the best book I have read in a very long time.
Thank you very much.

I have just finished the book.
And I have a feeling that I will be reading it again, soon.
I have also downloaded everything else available at http://moxiemezcal.com/main/page_ebooks_ebooks.html and moved the books to the top of my "to be read soon" stash.

Recently, I have experienced a kind of reader burnout. Just like we discussed at thread in lounge.
In my case the burnout has manifested itself in my inability to finish a book. I have tried to read lots of freebies from all genres I like, I have tried to reread some of my favourite books, I have tried to read some previously unread books by my favourite autors. Nothing helped. Sometimes I would abandon a book after some 30 pages, on the next try I would get as far as three fourths of another book before jumping back to my "to be read" stash.

Thank you Moxie for your breakneck, psychedelic, punky, gonzo - journalism inspired mystery.
Sorry for not posting a proper review. For that I will have to read the book at least once again, this time with a pencil, a notebook and the "list of The nine clues" at hand ;-)
But first I have to read something less intense for a little while.
Perhaps Tokyo Zero that I have discovered while reading your interview.

Thank you again for helping me to overcome by reading block ;-)
