I have a moleskin cover from Renaissance Art that I quite like. If my reader ever comes from the Sony rewards program I'm considering getting one of their book covers and see if I can make it work.

Hmmm. Moles are a protected species in the UK. I'm afraid that I would't have a book cover made from the skin of such a species as a matter of principle, no matter how nice it may look.

If you're looking for "reversibility" of this mod, I'd recommend actual copper tape rather than paint. This is real metal, used for EMI shielding. I'm betting you could even get it to tarnish up to a nice shade of green where your sweaty fingers push the buttons.
