Buzzards Day is a home state holiday for me.

Napping Day I am certain has not been approved by bosses.

True Confessions Day. *shrug* I am writing all of this from the prison inmate computer.

World Consumer Rights Day. You would think that would be all year long.

I don't much care for naps, but I wouldn't mind a full night's sleep once in a while. So I propose:

Quiet upstairs neighbors day where everyone will remove their shoes, walk softly, and refrain from opening drawers and cupboards, and stop shouting!!!!!

National Open An Umbrella Indoors Day, celebrated annually on March 13. Wish I'd known. Somehow that holiday seems right up my alley!

Here's another we missed, according to http://www.holidaysforeveryday.com/calmar06.shtml: March 11 - Frankenstein's Birthday (1818). I'm not sure if that website has it right, however, since Wikipedia says that Mary Shelly's novel was first published on January 1, 1818. Then again, perhaps the Wikipedia article has it wrong.

An interesting aside about Frankenstein. In a book I'm currently reading, Quirkology by Richard Wiseman, the author states, "The use of electricity apparently to resurrect the dead helped inspire Mary Shelly to write Frankenstein." MobileRead Members, help me out on this one: I may be wrong, but I thought the use of electricity to bring the monster to life was an invention of the film-makers who produced the 1931 movie version. If memory serves me right, Mary Shelly never mentioned by what method Frankenstein accomplished the feat in her book. Am I mistaken?

yeah, how COULD you miss those ? but actually i'd rather skip "brain awareness week". something tells me that being aware of your brain is probably a lot like being aware of your tongue, when suddenly it seems too big for your mouth and that's all you can think about. i bet your brain seeming too big for your skull is even worse.
