This is the only reason I still use the Sony software. The ability to drag books into whatever order I want in the Collections (and then synch to my Reader) is great. |

When you add "Good Story, More Adventures" to the Good Story series it will automatically become the next part of the series Good story [8]. Last edited by HorridRedDog; 03-14-2010 at 01:50 PM. |

I must not be "getting" it in this thread. All I've done is to create a series in Calibre, use the series number to define the sequence order and then upload to my Reader. The books show up as a Collection in the correct sequence. Just that simple. In other words, I don't use tags to create a series, I just use the series to create a series. I only use tags for genre information.
![]() Here you can see the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. This shows up in my Sony 600 as a collection titled "Mitch Rapp" with the books listed in the proper sequence. Easy as pie. Am I missing something? Brooks |

I alphabetize *ALL* the titles in a collection, not just titles in a series. I also frequently add new titles, and Calibre would put them at the bottom of the list in each Collection. Using your example, every time I added a new book to a collection, it would be out of order unless I deleted all the books from the Reader, then re-named them, then reuploaded them. Hence why I prefer to use the Sony Library, where I can sort alphabetically, or drag and drop into any order I please, without having to add numbers like I'm sorting filenames in DOS. |

Collections are ok, especially if you have multiple tags going on one file. On the other side, I still prefer using folders to organize my files. PRS+ does a good job as a firmware upgrade for the 505. I'm sorry that the "russification" doesn't have that feature (yet).
