Hi im new at this forum, and i have a real interest about the A81 bue i have some questions first.

1: @Kathy hi, i have heard some rumors about A81 getting capacitive screen and multitouch functions, is that true? if it is, when can we see it?

2: @Colsun: hi, I have seen a video showing a custom UI made by you for WinCE, and i really liked it, but i think in the video they dont use an A81 but something else, and the interface looks a little choppy and slow, will that UI works better with A81?

thanks i hope im getting my a81 soon.

Thanks phuongt!

I like the December 22 2009 firmware the best.
The following GPS software works perfectly =D
NDrive

I love inkwrite! Coreplayer/shincoplayer is a must.

Skyfire doesnt work flawlessy for me. Once im in the program it goes into fullscreen mode and I cant shut the program off without rebooting. In addition theres no way to input text. youtube works but its useless since i cant input text! its a dang tease =(
(if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!)

I love ColdSun's UI look but switching between screens takes too long. The Silverlight UI looks pretty cool but the taskbar is pretty flawed.
Also Im looking for software like PDF annotator which allows the user to make notes over PDF documents

@Betoncio:

I can responsibly tell you that A81 is with Resistive screen, don't support Multi-touch funtions at present. Maybe in the later version, but it is not on the development list yet.It is several months to wait.

I have a Wince 6 embedded SmartQ and also use SkyFire. No problem with PlumSIP keyboard. Big enough. Vey quick indeed. Easy to change characters to diffrerent language uner the SYM button in sym.ini. Used now some three months. English and Chinish, but quite easy to learn, so do not be afraid about Chinish marks. After some days u love it.

Try and here is the cab file: http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/10beb8fd68_4.62MB

Unhappy skyfire

I to am having problems with skyfire.

as with above me its stuck in the connecting loop.

also you have to uncheck the "always on top" check in the task bar settings so you can see the part of skyfire that's hidden behind it. then you can see the menu button (that that it dose me much good) as well as its onscreen keyboard.

Have u the wright version?

This is the only, that works on my WinCe6-SmartQ http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/389bdbf109_0.51MB

Sorry, I said wrong, it is NOT a cabinet file http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/93fd48f263_0.51MB

You must unzip that rar and copy all the seven files to SD card or to the vehicle. Should work well with using the Skyfire exe icon.

Opera5 Wince

There is a new Opera mini 5 for Windows phones. The original cab.file does not work, but a little modified cab file work sometimes in my WinCe 6 embedded vehicle. I found it via Meizu forum. Meizu is a WinCe6 embedded phone.
Has anybody tried this new web browser?

Can download this English cab from: http://www.meizume.com/m8-applicatio...tml#post119397

My venicle has no GPRS, only wifi, but it works sometimes very well. Someone must do some changes to the cab.file before it is 100% working, but looks very fine on my SmartQ7 when working.

Kathy,

Is it possible to buy a battery for the A81? The battery in my unit is going bad. It started several days ago to drain normally from 100% to 50% then it would be drained completely the next day. Now it's draining completely overnight from 70%.
