I'm not getting an update either. I've never installed any hack.

It makes me a little worried they are pushing a 2.3.4 right after a 2.3.3. Makes me thing there is some horrendous bug they found in 2.3.3 after pushing it that needs immediate update.

If that was the case, they had been pushing it all over the world and everybody would have received it already. Since that's not the case, only a few have received it, I'm not thinking there's something seriously wrong with 2.3.3.

2.3.3 is the latest on Amazon's site for manual update.

I still think they found something in 2.3.3 they didn't like that caused them to turn right around and do 2.3.4

This update fixed a few issues for me. Ever since the update to 2.3.3 I've had issues with my DX going to sleep and either not showing a screen saver at all or one that was all sorts of crazy: I would have some random author displayed over just the top half of the screen, for example. Similar issues when plugged in to usb (either to PC or power) All of these have now gone away.

I've found reports about K2-i and DX-US. My guess would be, all 4 variations.

Hmm, here's a question. The folks who've gotten the 2.3.4 update, were they already running 2.3.3 or an earlier version? I turned on my DX's wireless around the time 2.3.3 was being talked about and after a few days I got 2.3.2, where it still is.

I wonder if I should just manually upgrade to 2.3.3 now or what.

I did the upgrade to 2.3.3 manually and got the 2.3.4 via wireless...

My Kindle DX Int. has still 2.3.3. And there is no update available...

I did the 2.3.3 upgrade manually last night. I will leave the wireless on tonight, but I bet it won't update. I only turn the wireless once and awhile to update the time. I download all my books to my computer, then transfer them via USB.

I manually updated to 2.3.3 when it came out but automatically received 2.3.4 today. This is the first time in over a year of having a Kindle 2(w/ wireless on 24/7) that I've automatically received an update.
