If the contrast is similar and the screen is more durable I'll be satisfied. Those glass eink vizplex ARE fragile.

I think you are assuming that both the black and the white will get darker by the same degree. If it is not the case, the difference between two colors may increase, resulting in improved contrast.

The new e-ink screens are also plastic. My advice would be wait until you can have a look at an actual screen with this technology or we get some hands on report from a real user who has some other units to compare them to.

There is no flash to clear the screen for normal paging. It's funny to see, because the letters will be filled with "void" and then replaced with the new page (if you know what I mean!). The black flash was there, but only when going to the menu from the book.

I didn't notice any negative difference between it and my Mini. I'd even say it was faster. Maybe because of the lack of black flash.
