Right now, I'm drinking coffee, dipping dark chocolate and posting announcements for my spring ebook special - and I must say that what I've learned about indie publishing/marketing is that writing is the easiest part (or maybe I just know how to do that part best.)

(Love the emoticons here! )

Of course, through the whole show Prof Charlie Epps was saying how it was a tax on the mathematically inept among us... of course his Dad took the opposite stance... sort of like I do... the money in most state lotteries is used for education.

As a matter of fact, lottery money is paying the tuition of both of my two sons currently in college.

There was a funny gag at the end where Charlie's Dad gives him a lotto ticket and Charlie win's $10k... only to find out that his dad punked him and it was a gag lotto ticket he bought online.

Numb3rs is a fascinating program. One day when I have more time on my hands, I may catch up with the episodes. At the moment, all I watch on TV are new episodes of Lie to me and Smallville, and an occasional episode of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (the 50s TV show starring Ron Howard as Sherlock) on the web.

Maybe other states manage their scratch-off tickets differently, but in Minnesota, if a retailer reports a package of tickets as stolen, that whole package can be canceled and can't be cashed in. All tickets have to be electronically verified before being cashed.

Will it let you connect to http://housecall.trendmicro.com ? It's an online virus scanner by TrendMicro - not as well-known as Norton so it might not be proscribed.

I'm watching my cat right now play with this bit of plastic (like the hard kind that affix tags to things). This 2 inch piece of plastic is affording her hours of playtime. She tosses it in the air, gets it stuck on her body, and jumps around with it. I'm a little nervous about her eating it, although that would be difficult. Should I be a mean momma and take it away?

Yep I'm in for a houseswap - won't tell you it's been raining nonstop since lunchtime yesterday.

Houseswap also means that YOU can listen to my cat complaining about wet feed, wet fur, miserable being inside, and, and ....

After I came back from Europe I worked out that cold is better than hot & sticky. You can always rug up but there is only so much you can take off before they arrest you when going to the shops.

Exactly... As I said, they were trying to determine what store had the jackpot ticket so they could go an buy it there.

Oh, duh! I'm having a Monday. They could still do that without trying to cash in any of the stolen tickets. Sounds like a neat premise! I keep hearing about that show but it never seems to make its way into my Netflix queue. Maybe I should fix that.
