Hello everyone, I am new here. I come to this forum for some time and I decided to participate. I would like to try this PRS+ but also PRSCustomizer, together. I searched is that possibile and I found post from pepak on 2nd page on this topic (link to that post) and I would like to ask is that description stil valid, or something maybe changed because new versions of these two hacks?

I hope that PRSCustomizer will give me possibility to see letters č-ć-š-đ-ž from windows-1250 and UTF-8 in EPUB books, because now I have these letters only in LRF, but in EPUB I get question mark instead. PRSCustomizer stated "Unicode fonts with Cyrillic/Eastern European Support" so I hope that will solve this problem. Can I expect that?

And PRS+ has great features, so I would like to have them both.

And another question, how to uninstall these custom hacks? Is that acomplished by simle flash with offical 1.1.00.18040 firmware by executing his installer from windows while PRS-505 is connected via USB?

Regarding uninstall: slightly modified sony installer will reset your firmware back to 1.1.00.18040 no problem.

I wonder what does PRSCustomizer do with epub fonts. If it's pepak's css hack, then it's already included in PRS+.

Regarding your question on PRSCustomizer/PRS+ combining, unfortunatelly manual is not up to date, some stuff is missing, however PRS+ might work even without them (some visuals, starting prsp.sh on startup etc are missing)

Kartu i don't what is the function of "Added settings to disable usage of "titleSorter" field "added by you.

In LRF format, there is a special invisible field, made specially for sorting. According to LRF spec it should be used when sorting titles. If you disable it, it is ignored.

Kartu with this pageindex.js you can decide if the reader shows the number of the pages when the menu has only one page.

It would be great if someone would write new/updated manual of how to install combined PRSCustomizer and PRS+ in best way, like pepak wrote one eight months ago. I'd love to have them both with all their features.

That is why I yesterday asked PRSCustomizer author in his topic will that be the case, he says that I have to try to see because he is not sure. In PRSCustomizer I can choose Fonts (Standard or Unicode or User-supplied). It will be great if PRS+ can change PRS-505 default font with some UTF-8 font.

I must admit that I don't really understand how these font works, if I open default font with Font Creator i can see that he has letters that I need. So..what is the difference between that default font and some unicode font?

And another thing, when working with Word RTF format I can change font in Word and after I upload RTF to the reader it will display text in that font (don't work with all fonts, but I see that works with Arial and Times New Roman). So LRF work with some font (and it works and looks great), RTF work with multiple fonts, EPUB work with some single font in the reader but that font don't work great for all letters. Maybe little confusing

I would like to have PRS+ with his features + proper display of all the letters in EPUB. But that name-telephone-email customization in PRSCustomizer is not bad either, and custom icon set.

It will be great that these two hacks can be combined or, even better, that one hack has it all

It won't. Pepak has explained why and how to fix it here (if, in your case, it is at all fonts problem and not encoding problem):

"unicode font" is a wrong name. There are "default fonts" used by the system and LRF/RTF/Text viewer, located in /opt/sony/ebook/FONT folder, and there are "epub viewer's built-in fonts" located I have no idea where, probably in an executable.

How to use custom fonts in epubs is described in the pepak's thread.
