Well, I've had an interesting couple of weeks. After uploading my Plockhoy book I did a routine Google search on Plockhoy, something I hadn't done for a while, and found a Dutch guy doing his Ph.D. thesis on him. He had new info; it turns out that Plockhoy was married to a woman who remained in Holland and never traveled to Delaware, his son was a tinsmith and not a stocking knitter, and people who I thought were his siblings really weren't.

So I did a lot of thinking. Do I rewrite it completely? Do I change the names? I decided upon the latter, not wanting the facts to get in the way of a good story. I now say in the Preface that it is "loosely based" on the Plockhoy settlement. Does the DRM allow a Kindle user to re-download the corrected version? Only six people have bought it so far, so it's not a huge problem. I did acknowledge the Dutch guy; he was very nice, and his thesis is very interesting.

Feeling very good! I have a job, starting next Wednesday, for two months which will probably be extended if I like it enough to behave

After a very quiet two months, suddenly I had to choose between three different offers! I hope it's a good sign for the economy in general, or at least my job market. Anyway I foresee a very good week-end, especially if the weather continues to be sunny and mild

. I do feel a bit better now, but I have been litterally lying in bed for the last 3 days, and this hasn't happened to me for years. The kids recovered promptly though, nice on one side, but on the other, it is not quiet here, to say the least.

Congrats on the job btw!!!

My ex-daughter in law's kids (my grandson and his half-sister) just got home from school and Norton wants to play. He always grabs one of his stuffed toys when they arrive and runs up to them with it hoping for a game of keep-away. Pugs are so cute. Before that, I was singing to him while playing one of my ukuleles.

When their mom gets home with the baby and the little sister, he'll really go nuts. He absolutely loves that little girl. I'll be especially sad for Norton when my ex-DIL gets her own place. I'll be sad for me, too. She's a right good cook and housekeeper.
