it's bitterly cold, with a biting wind bringing snow or sleet from off the North Sea ..... sheesh that body of water is at least 7 degrees C at this time of year - why can't it warm the Siberian freeze up a little more .... who's turned off the North Atlantic Drift !

In other words, a blizzard - heavy snow and strong winds..... trying to suggest hurricane likeness is not too scientific - it aint warm enough !

I once saw a massive lightning storm in the middle of a massive snowstorm right here in Tidewater as I was driving at night. The lightning was so frequent it was as if the gods were having a disco party, with each strike freezing the falling snowflakes in place like a giant strobe. It was incredibly impressive, incredibly beautiful, incredibly distracting and surely dangerous to drive through. I loved every minute of it.

Grey and sleety here this morning.
We've got between 3 and 6 inches of extremely wet snow lying. Step on it and it squashes down to a half inch of slush .....
yeuch !!!!!

And yes, this has to be the snowiest winter I can recall - we've certainly had snow on the ground since before Christmas ....

I grew up in Oregon. I'd rather have 2 or 3" of rain in 24 hours.

Currently in shenzhen china - 90% humidity with a temp change of from 10 to 25 and back again and now going back to 25 in a little over a week. Tiled floors are wet - I mean like disgusting wet. You dry them, they wet again in minutes - which if you got tiles in your apartment like me - aint real nice.
