It seems to depend on the file - some of mine will find a page through Find Word and others won't. At the moment I cannot see any obvious reason why this is, but presumably some page numbers get parsed and others don't --- a mystery!

Depends on your definition of "touch". It's still a touchscreen, just touched with a stylus and not with a finger.

Well, actually if we're getting technical, since the EMR digitizer is behind the screen, it actually isn't touched at all.

Good point. Let's call it an "artificial pen proximity detection screen"... or we could just use the common term "touchscreen" and stop worrying about technicalities.

I prefer the more technical term 'magic wand'

I like this because you neither have to touch the touchscreen, nor actually touch the screen which is in front of the the touchscreen, you just have to get very close to it - which really is magic, albeit a bit annoying at times.

IREX, in interviews, sometimes uses the terms 'digitizer' or 'pen-touch'. If you look up touchscreen on wikipedia, it'll show that that refers to mostly finger touch and pen screens are in a different article.

I'm fine being direct and saying pen-touch screen. I'm sure demo devices in stores are right now being stabbed at with a Sony stylus (the wacom one has gone missing) or grinding under confused fingers.

Tablet, pen-enabled, (active) digitizer and supporting stylus interaction are the usual terms dating back to tablet PCs circa 2001. It is misleading to call it a touch screen since that term is used to describe actual finger contact with a display, a la iPhone.

If we keep using the term touch, though who don't read reviews in detail will continue to buy the product thinking they can use finger touch like the Sony touch readers (already happened to a member on this forum).
