Just finished reading "Night Watch" by Terry Pratchett. I think this is the best Discworld book I read so far. Loved it!

Halfway done with A Confederacy of Dunces. Good story with great writing. Highly recommend if you want a good chuckle.

Finished "A Night Too Dark" last night. It's the 17th adventure for Kate and Mutt, by Dana Stabenow.
After the travails I had trying to find it in ebook, (Dana's a Macmillan author, 'nuff said), I was hoping it didn't disappoint.

It didn't. The old cliche "I laughed, I cried..." was the literal truth. Loved every second of it.

Now to finish "Truly, Madly" by Heather Webber and "Town in a Blueberry Jam" by B. B. Haywood, both of which got put aside the second I got my hot little hands on "A Night too Dark".

I just finished "The Nine Tailors" by Dorothy Sayers, which was awesome (although slow in the beginning). Now I'm just trying to decide what to read next.

Did you ever read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? If so, what did you think?

Not yet. I keep looking for it at the library, but it's never there. I might just break down and get it in ebook.

While I was at dinner, I started reading "Radium Halos" (the other book I'm reading is a pbook) and I can't put it down. It's really interesting. I'm really tempted to look up Radium Dials but I don't want it to spoil the story.

Sometime 2009. Boyd Morrison gave away free copies of his books as Mobipocket eBooks. I did get them and am about to convert The Palmyra Impact to ePub so I can read it.

Boyd (MR member author as Boyd Morrison) was very generous to give us copies of his books in multiple formats before he was signed by a publisher for all his books. I loved all 3 of them!
(His thread.)
His paper books will be out this year (April to June in USA, Australia, and Germany-- more countries being added and book covers / titles may be different in other countries). He says he is unsure about when or what formats for ebooks. He is super busy lately and hasn't been on MR as much.

I listened to an entire audiobook today while working in my gem room. It was The Sword Edged Blonde by Alex Bledsoe, and I really enjoyed it.

Also listened to part of Fragile Things by Neil Gaimen. It is a collection of short stories. Some good, some less good.

What is a gem room... is that where you keep your family jewels?

BTW: Still reading _The Stand_.

Night Watch is one of my favourites too. It felt to me like one of the darkest of the Discworld books, in a good way.

Cheers,
