maybe you should think about getting a cat. or possibly some tropical fish, i hear they are very relaxing, although i'm not sure they are very cuddly.

Hey wait a minute, what about the people here? We've gotten used to you! Take good care of yourself...

BTW Two major killer exercises: First snowstorm of season shoveling and first springtime soil tilling...

Yes, you can bring the wine with you!

Mmm, maybe it could be the first step towards getting out of this Canadian circadian clock of yours?

Good night, dear, I hope you'll dream of peaceful beaches and wake up to a little less things to do (but don't think about it for now!)

actually i don't think i'm on canada time right now. i think i'm somewhere between newfoundland and, say, wales. but probably closer to wales than newfoundland. which is a big improvement !

i hope i dream of peaceful beaches too, hmm, that would be lovely !

and tomorrow is the meetup with nekokami, so i have that to look forward to.

Oh my gosh, I want pity hugs!!!!

On my feet running all day, from 9-4......not used to this, have been home since the first of September, I see by the volunteers book.

My back hurts, my legs hurt, my knees hurt. I was even to tired to stop and get something to eat!

But my wonderful husband is making a bowl of soup...I literally walked in, threw him the mail and continued onto the bathroom.....Hot showers feel so good!

Thank goodness this is Friday..........

We have the best cat ever. His name is Christian. I forget who named him—it's certainly not a name I would have picked—but I don't think there's a more affectionate cat on the planet, or one with a better personality. As he advances in age (he's getting up there), he seems to crave company more, and I try to be there for him more.

Someone on the radio the other day said that the Egyptians once worshiped cats as gods, and cats have never forgotten it. Fortunately, Christian has adapted.

Well, I don't plan to do much more tilling, but now I need to get out the hoe and hill the soil. I thought I'd be able to do that with the tiller, but the blades aren't wide enough. The soil's soft now from all the winter rain, so maybe I'll do it over the weekend.

Yes, I do need to take better care of myself. I spend way too much time reading and at the computer. It's good for the mind, but the body needs exercise, too. In summer, I get in the pool with Norton everyday, and that helps, but I need to find some good winter exercise.

What I really need is to retire and start a regular exercise routine.

My best friend when I was pre-school age died this week at 58 years of age, and that, in conjunction with running up against some of my own physical limitations just a couple of days ago at work, has left me feeling very aware of my own mortality.

Poor fellow; I hadn't seen him since I was a teenager. Oddly enough, I told my wife just a few weeks ago that I'd like to look him up and see how he's doing. Well, too late now.

you cat sounds lovely, i'm glad you have him.

i am really sorry to hear about your friend. partly for similar reasons, i completely understand how you are feeling. it's not an easy thing to deal with, but i suppose it's just part of life.

do try to get some exercise. i find that what is good for the body tends to be good for the mind and soul as well...
