At least when coffee gets cold it still has value. You can always give it a fancy name and pawn it off on yuppies at twice the price!

took the new CAT (Kindle Kat?) and the pup on a walk around the property and down to the pond. he is getting used to his new walking harness and actually doing pretty well for a feline! I on the other hand can tell that I need to hit the gym in a serious fashion after I finish healing up

Putitng the finishing touches on the paper layout. In the end two articles hadn't pitched leaving me with 2 pages to fill. So even after working till 3 am I had to wait for them to get their stuff together. Thankfully it will be proofed tomorrow and then I can send it off to the printers and forget about it.

Now, I'm off to bed to catch up on some much needed sleep...

I just did some tilling in the garden and got to feeling dizzy. My blood pressure is now 142/98. I'll take it again in a few minutes and see if it has gone down any.

In April I'll be 60, and will have out-lived my father by 8 years. Quite frankly, I don't plan on many more birthdays, but death doesn't bother me except insofar as it would affect my family and those who depend on me. Then again, who knows? Some mighty frail people have lived to a ripe old age.

Guess I'll be asking for new BP meds next time I visit my doctor.

Please be careful, WT. Even though you may not anticipate more birthdays, life might surprise you.

Both my paternal grandmother and my father had significant heart attacks at the age of 67. It killed my grandmother, but my father was in such good physical condition that his heart was able to resuscitate itself (I guess there is something to be said for being a jock all your life). Since I am very much my father's daughter (with the exception of the whole "jock" thing), I keep telling the kids they need to be nice to me since I only have 17 years left. Shannon just rolls her eyes at me.

I just took it again after resting. It's now 125/84, the best it has been in days. I guess working in the garden is good for you.

I've also read that petting a dog is a good way to reduce blood pressure. I don't know if that includes pugs. Usually when I go to pet Norton, he tries to bite me. He thinks it's playtime. Of course, pugs think everything means playtime.

Looking at anything that cute should lower your BP at least 10-20 points. Keep petting Norton!
