I'm very happy with the upgrade to 1.5 (thanks GeffC!). Everything works, even the font size buttons. The delete button works. Paging at speed works very well indeed. I now have my books in folders according to authors. Ummm... am I missing anything out? Oh yeah - it hasn't frozen once since the upgrade.

Of course, now that I've posted this, everything will start to go wrong

Freezes all the time

I mostly read some .txt files and I have problems with continues freezes. Some files can't even be opened anymore, so I have half-read articles I can't finish now. 2.0 firmware with 600k-1M sized txt files.

Are there any workarounds?

I thought I did, but it appears that Calibre only said it did and just copied the same old text over. I'll return with more info soon.

On a second note, is page flipping significantly slower now or did it use to take 2-3s ?

I'm using 1.5 because virtually all my books are mobi, even my own reference material has been made into mobi.

So far, I'm LOVING the folder view.

Frankly, I think that Amazon could take over the format wars if they'd just license to any device, regardless of other formats available. They're just shooting themselves.

I've noticed no difference. I do get more 'ghosting' though on page turns, especially early in each reading session.

I'm also using 1.5. My main reason is dictionary support, as well as compatibility across every device I own. I do keep my eBooks in ePub format as well, for future use.

Same here. I do wish, though, that there was a function to quickly access the last couple of books that were opened; it would make switching between multiple books being read "simultaneously" much easier.

I think the shooting is over, and Mobi has lost in favor of ePub.
