I chose mobipocket because I get nearly all my purchased books from Amazon. Plus the tools used to remove this DRM are readily available (not that I'm admitting anything).

Well I voted Adobe epub because I have a Sony reader and by the time I bought that, epub was clearly the non-proprietary standard format to go for. Hence I've acquired the capability to remove the DRM from the titles I buy, and given the high level of typos and formatting mistakes that seem to be prevalent, I'm happy to use Sigil/Calibre to 'improve' the items I've bought.

Goes without saying though that I'd still welcome the end of DRM!

Same. Though I've not even researched DRM stripping tools. I haven't read anything I feel likely to want to re-read in the future. And no need unless I switch from Kindle products in the future anyway. And I could strip the ones I needed then I suppose.

And does not need converting either for my Sony or my iTouch; but if the Kindle edition is cheaper, hurray for Calibre

Whichever format easily allows me to re-enable DCRM (Digital Consumer Rights Management). From that point, I can generally convert it to any format I need based on my device (typically PDF).

Can some nice mod reset this poll so it allows multi-votes and adds in MS Readers? And reset it so all who voted can vote again.

I've purchased a bunch with secure Mobipocket and found them easy to liberate and they convert well to rtf using calibre. I think they convert to rtf better than epub. I'm still converting to pdb, because I really like the control of setting things up correctly in that format. Converting to ePub to make the format work seems like too much work to me. Also, I think part of the problem is with my eSlick. It puts all the margins to the left and doesn't center chapter titles. BUGS ME!
