Well I wasn't very eager either, because I don't see anything wrong with the mobi format and because I don't like the Adobe DRM for epub. But I don't have much choice since Amazon are doing all they can to kill mobi, and ebooks available in France are mostly in the epub format.

You'll let us know how you like the iPad?

I just super-glued the "Sleep" button on my HP keyboard so it can't operate. Got tired of hitting the key accidentally and then having to wait forever for the blasted machine to wake up.

What genius came up with the idea of putting a sleep button on a computer keyboard anyway?

No, wasn't a sugar overdose. I prefer dark, the darker the better (when I was a kid I would steal squares of baking chocolate from my mom), so if it was sugar I'd probably know it.

10 am in the morning - rained last night. Was suppose to rain this morning but didn't. So now sitting here at home - sweating and wondering how long I can handle this s@#%&t heat & humidity.

I am trying to be good and not have the ac running too often - but dam, this humidity makes my cat go nuts and my hair hung like spaghetti glued to a roundish object. Not to speak of those darn fingers that keep stickiiiiiiiiingg to thee keeeybboard.
