Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Calibre2\DLLs\python26.dll
I hope the (x86) was supplied by the debugger because that part of the with a leading space, does not exist on XP versions (is this a 64 bit thing?)

6.40 is out and I have not seen a crash of python26.dll in days
Kovid thinks he found something and fixed it in this version.

Yeah, it's a 64 bit thing...there is both a regular "Program Files" and a "Program Files (x86)"

I guess I will go ahead and download 0.6.40 to try. I hadn't done anything with Calibre this week until this afternoon when I sat down to work through some files.

I am too cheap to buy an extra 32 bits, so I never saw that before
Good luck

I really can't be certain if it's actually fixed o not. I just found one potential cause of it, which I corrected. So please re-open the ticket if you find 0.6.40 still crashes occasionally.
