Pretty sure I've read "Enormous Radio" before, but just downloaded it from here:

http://web.sbu.edu/english/faculty/m...10/cheever.htm

to re-read.

I sure wish more short story collections were available as ebooks. sigh.

The one available for Kindle was published in 2008 and lists 1152 printed pages. I assume that is the un-edited version.

There were at one time two available for the K.

It should clearly state, "The Complete and Uncut Edition" just inside the cover.

I started it again last night.

Just started Connie Willis' Blackout. It's a new book featuring Oxford's time-traveling historians.

Ooh, that sounds interesting. Please let us know what you think.

I just started "Her Master and Commander" by Karen Hawkins. My local library has an ongoing book sale, and some wonderful historical romance reader dropped off a crate of their books, and they are all fairly new releases. I had to hold myself back, but I did get five titles, including this one.

I am about to read that, too. I also got some of her backlist and was dismayed to find many errors in Firewatch---missing punctuation, odd characters etc. Very disappointing.

I'm sure Connie would be (probably is) mortified.

I noticed that Amazon now had several of her older books available but no Doomsday Book.

Just finished the last (until May) Sookie Stackhouse book. Charlaine Harris certainly believes in a full stop, doesn't she? The last two in the series I kept hitting the page turn button and wondering why nothing was happening, because "it CAN'T end there"!

I got books for Valentine's Day, so now I have an embarrassment of riches, and can't decide what to start next.

The uncut version I read was earlier than this, BOb, but the page-count suggests the one you have your eye on is the full monty. As others have said, though, it's as well to check (not that the shorter version isn't a darned good job, too -- I rate this title as King's best). G'luck. Neil
