Would there be any chance of an option to have a Title list just based on Titles, or with the series AFTER the title/author? |

@banjomike:
To clarify, assume that you have two books by Agatha Christie in your library, And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express. And Then There Were None is not part of a series. Murder on the Orient Express is book 10 of the series Hercule Poirot Mysteries. Current display style: Code:
Authors, Genres and Recently Added: C Agatha Christie And Then There Were None ------------------------------ Hercule Poirot Mysteries 10: Murder on the Orient Express Titles: A And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie H Hercule Poirot Mysteries 10: Murder on the Orient Express Code:
Authors, Genres and Recently Added: C Agatha Christie And Then There Were None ------------------------------ Hercule Poirot Mysteries 10: Murder on the Orient Express Titles: A And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie M Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot Mysteries 10) - Agatha Christie G |

I'm missing my alphabetical list of books. Having said that, if you want to make the Recently Added list sortable with the most recent at the top (as the Sony date option shows them) that would be OK as well. ![]() |

Big thank-you for the Catalog feature
@GRiker
I'd just like to tell you how much I love this new Catalog feature and how impressed I have been with your quick and positive responses to all the enhancement tickets I raised. ![]() Now a question... Is there a CSS file I can edit to do minor tweaks to personalise the standard CSS used to display the Catalog EPUB (e.g. font-size, font-weight for headings like Author_Name, Series_Name). Obviously I know I can manually tweak the CSS inside the output Catalog EPUB, but changing it before creation would be faster. Especially since my Catalog is big enough to need to create it in manageable portions. |

@jackie_w: You can edit the catalog's stylesheet.css, which is located in calibre/Resources/resources/catalog/stylesheet.css. (That's where it is my Mac app bundle, it should be in approximately the same location on other installs.)
@banjomike: I'll take a look at what's necessary to do the changes you request. If anyone else feels strongly about the presentation style of titles, series, etc, this would be a good time to speak up, as I need to move onto some other items on the to-do list. G |

when on the same line as the title? It sort of runstogether and the title does not stand out on a small screen. Thanks for the tip on the style sheet, I might learn to make this work my way ![]() |

@theducks: Are you talking about in the Titles Section? If so, please refer to #167 above where I describe the proposed layout:
Title (series series_index) - Author The series/series index would be in parentheses, setting it apart from the title and author. G |

That would do fine. Thanks While I am stirring the idea pot ![]() Some books have Multiple authors; eg. Weber & Ringo Calibre does not cross index authors in the Author list. Can the Catalog be made to do this for Authors? Weber: same title Ringo: same title I don't know about other publishers or Genere's, but Baen seems to be notorious for series with 1 or more differing Author combinations ![]() ![]() |

Weber & Ringo: same title Ringo & Weber: same title then I would go for it. To clarify my suggestion above on the Recently Added sorting, I would like a choice of sorting by most recent first (especially for the MOST recent as I use the date added menu on my Sony to keep track of where I am in my book transferring and this option would make the catalog similarly organized). I expect many people would prefer how you have it at the moment especially for months in the distant past. |

Only search will find the second Author (in any combination) I have "My_Catalog" on the main storage of my device, and it is most handy since the device does not have any option except folders. |

@GRiker, Here's my 2p's worth:-
However, as the Titles and Recently_Added sections are the ones I will use least, perhaps I am not best placed to say. |

wrt cross-referenced multiple authors, feel free to create a feature request ticket, that's something that really needs to be coordinated with a general calibre feature.

wrt to Recently Added ...
How about if the first group in the Recently Added Section was "Last 30 days", then grouped by month as it currently is? Code:
Recently Added Last 30 Days title added 1 hour ago title added 2 hours ago title added yesterday title added 2 days ago ... title added 30 days ago February 2010 (by author, as in 0.6.40) January 2010 (by author, as in 0.6.40) ... G |
