I'm re-reading Moby Dick, approximately 20 years after the last time I HAD to read it. And I have to say that I am really enjoying it now - reading for fun, rather than for a grade, gives me the freedom to skip sections and really appreciate the wit and erudition in the text. I am constantly using my Wikireader to look up names, puns, allusions, etc. even though I am reading the Penguin "enriched" version with footnotes.
BTW - the illustrations in this version display very well on my DX.

Gearing up to get back to some article/essay writing.

I'm waiting for The Demon-Haunted World to come out as a e-book. It's one of the few ("Cosmos," surprisingly, is another) Sagan titles that I haven't read.

What did you think of "Dome?" I just finished the "Dark Tower" series.

I really liked the character development in the Dome but found the ending a bit of a let down.

'D'Artagnan Romances' Vol 1 - A. Dumas

'Michael Strogoff' - Jules Verne

'The Richest Man in Babylon' - George S Clason and last but not least

I was scared off by the five screens worth of characters listed at the beginning of Under the Dome. I'll still read it, but it seems like a project.

I am reading 'Not my Daughter' by Barbara Delinsky, wich I got as a 100% micropay rebate. It's not bad, but a little slow---the main character is very surprised by what's happening and most of the action so far has been her having conversations with various characters where she explains what is happening and how surprised she is

I just got my new issues of Alred Hitchcock and Ellery Queen, so those will be next up. I am also trying to alternate between a 'commercial' read and a more indie one (so I can review them) so when I finish my current very commercial one, I will be reading a book called 'HebrewPunk' that I found at Fictionwise.

It is a LONG read; another case of an author cramming a 700 page book into a thousand pages.

Being more inclined to the short story, I think this of many novels.
