Karma history?

Is it possible to see why I have received karma? On the first page of User Control Panel I can see the latest points awarded but what about the earlier ones? I don't look at the control panels often enough to see when I get points, not even for the few ones I got.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean?

When you go to your Control Panel you can see your Karma and if you have too much for 1 page then there is an option at the bottom to navigate to any further pages as well. So you should be able to see all your Karma history and who and where it came from.

What Poshm said... It's on the bottom of your first page when you click the "User CP" (at the upper left of the forum pages)

Karma to you for asking.

Now........click on "user cp." Look at your karma posts. (They'll be on the right).

Scroll to the bottom ........if you have more than one page, you'll see "page 1 of ...."......

Thanks, I think I see it now. I got confused by suddenly having a lot (relatively...) of karma and still only one comment. I had assumed, since one starts with 10, it were handed out by single digits or a few 10s but did not expect to get a 3-digit value. Therefore I assumed there would be a history of comments. I guess I will have to read the help and try to understand the karma system better.

The more karma you have, the more you can give away. So if you get karma off someone who's got loads, you'll get a nice little lot in one go.

I was very confused by karma when I first joined I'll admit

The more posts you make, the more karma you are able to give. This is automatically figured for you.

When you click on the "karma" button under someones post, you will see:

A box you can put a comment in. Not necessary, but nice for the receiver to know why you are giving karma.

Also, under that, you will see:

"Optional, adjust reputation power" with a number in it. You can choose to give the total amount, or put whatever amount you choose to give in that box.

Anytime you want to see how much karma you have, you can go to your "user cp" and look at "Latest Reputation Received"........to the right of that sentence is your total amount.

The most fun thing about karma is the karma fortune. Hover your cursor over the little blue squares above your avatar and up pops the fortune. For example, right now, DGma actually enjoys Vogon poetry, you have a complete set of StarWars action figures and Javed got an A in P-Chem. I, of course, can do the Funky Gibbon.
