I think ebooks are catching on in Chicago

They added 50 new ones in February. That is almost twice as much as usual. I scored Game Change (the windowed one-star review) and the new Dominick Dunn.

I just checked the Chicago Public Library:
365 ePub
264 MobiPocket
1228 PDF

My Seattle library has about 17,000 eBooks in Overdrive.com:
4164 ePub
4919 MobiPocket
8779 PDF
It looks like my tax dollars are being spent "wisely" in Seattle.

How about your public libraries?

Chicago Public Library lags behind a lot of the suburbs. I have a Chipublib card but don't use it very often as most of the books I want are usually checked out.

14,289 total eBooks (there was no way to get a total this adding 8981 fiction and 5308 non fiction)
2,204 ePub
11,999 PDF
5,293 mobiPocket

Most of the books in the "New" list are ePub with a few PDF scattered about so it looks like they are shifting towards the ePub format here.
