As far as Topaz related books, how do you determine if it is a Topaz book without downloading it?

There are sometimes clues - a listing with a number of pages, but no size, is sometimes an indicator. The easiest way, though, is to download a sample to your computer (which is free) and check the extension of the sample - it'll match the extension of the main book, so you can tell which are topaz (.tpz and .azw1).

I also added a TPZ designation to indicate ebooks with Topaz DRM. I don't plan on downloading each free ebook to check if it is in the Topaz format, so I'll be relying on posters here to let me know which books are in that format.

Daithi - Thank you for the work you do on keeping up the list on the front page. I don't check formats on Kindle books, as I read them on my Kindle (or my iphone or my PC). Since the only reason I'd need to know the format would be to strip the DRM, I generally don't care about the format. I have returned more topaz books than mobi in the Kindle store, due to bad formatting, but only a very, very few - probably only a handful in two years and none recently.

Download a sample..........if it says azw1 or azw2 you know its topaz.

Ok, I just added Koland's latest book (and thank you for the kind words).

I also agree with Koland in that I haven't noticed any formatting problems with most topaz files lately, but knowing the file type is certainly useful if you remove the DRM. However, I'm afraid it would take me too long to maintain the list if I need to download and examine each file (or sample). But if I do happen to notice that a file is in the topaz format I'll indicate it.

This is published by Zondervan, and LaHaye is the creator of the Left Behind series. Also, the one review gives it 1 star, saying that this free preview is about 2 pages long.
