Is now the time to stock up on ebooks?
With the impending ebook price increases due to the iPad, I am seriously thinking about stocking up on ebooks. The plan is to buy several books from favorite authors' back lists. Assuming all ebooks go up in price, not just new releases, I think I'd come out ahead in the long run.
Is anybody else going to stock up? What do you think? |

However there has been stated that the prices would become more dynamic making new releases more expensive but lower prices for older books. So in theory older titles should not be affected by this price surge. |

I agree; there's no reason to expect price increases in already-released eBooks; it's new releases which are likely to be affected.

I think it more prudent to snap up any $9.99 or less "pre-order" offers now for publishers that are threatening to follow Macmillan's lead. Amazon has Kindle listings through August now available for pre-orders.
