Was ich grandios fand war dort der Artikel "iPad: Sortimenter in Not" und vor allem die Kommentare dazu.
Laut Artikel werden wir in die Buchhandlungen gehen und dort unsere Ebooks herunterladen nach guter Beratung. Laut einigen Kommentaren von Buchhändlern könnten Ebooks sich nie durchsetzen, weil sie "von ihren Kunden noch nicht nach Ebooks gefragt wurden" und "sie würden keinen Menschen kennen der einen Kindle hat". Also bei den Kommentaren durch Buchhändler gehe ich davon aus, dass viele Buchhandlungen durch Managementfehler sterben werden in den nächsten Jahren. Ich persönlich frage nur in Buchhandlungen mit Ebookreader Verkauf nach Ebooks, weil die restlichen Buchverkäufer zugeben, das sie keine Ahnung von Ebooks haben und ich gehe davon aus, das die meisten Ebookkäufer ähnlich denken. http://www.boersenblatt.net/356168/ |

Also, um Sortimenter und Grossisten tut's mir nun wirklich nicht leid.
Von deren Wohl und Wehe hängt es ab, ob irgendein Titel überhaupt verbreitet wird. Da kann man als Verleger noch so engagiert sein. Wollen die Sortimenter einen nicht eaufnehmen, war's das. |

Echt? Du gehst in Buchläden und fragst nach E-Books? Ich bin jetzt immer davon ausgegangen, dass man E-Books einfacher, schneller und zuverlässiger online beziehen kann. Gut, die Beratung fehlt da sicherlich, aber ehrlich gesagt nutze ich die sowieso meistens nicht..

Eine Beratung hat doch seit jeher eigentlich nur bei Kinderbüchern oder in Fachbuchhandlungen effektiv stattgefunden.
Gerade seit dem Internet gibt es so viele Seiten mit Renzensionen und Leseempfehlungen (wenn man jetzt nicht nur bei Amazon reinschauen möchte), dass ich den Mehrwert einer Beratung vor Ort nicht wirklich sehe. Nicht bei einer Strandlektüre. |

Also, spätestens bei der letzten Antwort würde ich dem Buchhändler/der Buchhändlerin empfehlen, sich einen neuen Job zu suchen.
Alle eBooks, die die libri.de direkt gelistet sind, haben eine ISBN. Alle*. Anders kommt man gar nicht rein. Und wo man eine ISBN nachschlägt, das ist 1. Lehrjahr der Ausbildung. Ich verzichte aus Kostengründen und grundsätzlich auf eine ISBN. Solange man es nirgendwo bestellen und abholen kann, ist eine ISBN bei eBooks Nonsens. Vor allem erlauben eBooks das "Update zwischendurch". Das widerspricht dem Grundgedanken hinter der ISBN. Das werden die meisten kleinen Anbieter so handhaben. Aber alle großen Printverlage werden bei ihren eBooks so vorgehen wie bei ihren gedruckten Ausgaben. * Ausnahme sind die prc-eBooks, die libri noch über Mobipocket bekommt. Diese dürften im Tagesgeschäft aber kaum noch eine Rolle spielen. |
