Thanks for the wishes ... he's doing okay. It was a planned operation (actually, it was cosmetic since it was not really necessary), but he caught some kind of bug that that causes his tummy to misbehave and he's having problems with keeping the liquid inside of him. So now we're fighting dehydration.

Whoops.

Now, how's our poster-quitter doing?

Terrific! That's great news, happy_terd. May I suggest that you soon try some vigorous aerobic exercise? You may notice that for several months you'll be coughing up stuff and struggling some to breathe but that improves, too, over time. Try a brisk jog or some basketball with friends or something. Just a suggestion.

Just as a heads-up...

I'm at 1 1/2 months and I don't know if it was just the confluence of events over the last week (like surgery and being at home for a week straight) but the urges came back...not strong enough for me to act on them but still, I wasn't impressed.

Just saying from one recently-quit to another, ever-vigilant and all that.
