Thanks for drag-and-drop onto the dock icon. Great addition.
One small problem, though - when I drop multiple items, I get an error about the number of books added: Code:
ERROR: ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>AttributeError</b>:'NoneType' object has no attribute 'number_of_books_added' Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/__init__.py", line 249, in dispatch File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/ui.py", line 1044, in _files_added AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'number_of_books_added' |

Are you using VoiceOver?

Are you sure, because exactly this crash was reported by someone and we figured out that it was a conflict with VoiceOver. It may be some other accessibility related technology you use that's causing the problem, if it's not voiceover.

Even when the app is working, I can't switch to another applications, command-tab doesn't work, and even clicking an app in the dock will not give me that app's menu bar, though there I might be able to actually use the app's window and scroll it, but not type into it. If it would crash, I'd be a lot happier. It is also INSANELY slow to load a book. Take 20-30 seconds to open a 200K text file on a quad core Xeon MacPro with 6GB of RAM. When opening viewer windows, some of the windows would never close. I have some files named, for example, "01 The Mists of Avalon" (so it would sort right in the series). Calibre can't get metadata on this until I take out the '01', which seems odd. |

I've been running 0.6.37 on 10.6.2 for the last two days.
Everything seems to be working fine. Tried fetching news, syncing, adding and removing books. So far so good. |

Not sure what version I'm running since it doesn't give it's version in the get info, and I am unwilling to launch the application again since I will have to force a logout once I do.
Ah, wait, the archive says it is 0.6.37 I ran 0.6.37 on my G4 Laptop running 10.5.8 and found it ran no worse than on the MacPro in terms of speed. It also did not kill every other running process and refuse to quit and lock up my UI, so on that score it is much better. It still takes forever to do almost anything, and it took over an hour to process the 191 random ebook files I dropped on it (much faster on the MacPro, only 10m or so). It's only importing files with partial filenames. Is it using old carbon libraries with a 31 character limit? Zimmer Bradley, Marion - Avalon 01 - The Mists Of Avalon was imported with the name Zimmer Bradley, Marion - Avalon or something very similar. This meant that all the Avalon books showed identical titles in the 'title' column of Calibre. Last edited by lbutlr; 02-04-2010 at 05:12 AM. |

Just got the update and I am amazed! Awesome Drag & Drop integration, even from other applications (like Mail).
