I didn't look long enough to see if they were stitches or staples (or a zipper, for that matter).

My stupid doctor's office can't give me muscle relaxers without an appointment, which wouldn't be so bad if they had picked up the phone and told me that when I called. I might have been able to get over there. Luckily my wonderful mother is coming over with some motrin and a new heating pad (mine quit out a week or so ago). I have a lump on my neck the size of Georgia.
