Mine broke too. Another option is the Sony tri-fold cover. I just ordered one from the UK.

No I didn't -- I found one here from a member, which I just paid for.

In looking at the cover at Best Buy though it seems an exact match and in fact on the Sony page (I believe) it says it will fit.

I contacted Sony tech support, and they said the 600 cover (PRSASC6TC) would fit the 505.

Sonystyle has the premium leather cover, refurbed, for the 505 on clearance in the outlet. I bought a refurbed 600 and almost got the cover until I realized it was for the 505. Probably should have gotten it anyway.

Shipping was free earlier this week, don't know if it still is.
