Let it be known the we had a beautiful cloudless blue sky today in Flagstaff! It seems like forever since we saw the sun. I did some snowshoeing and it was great to be finally out of the house.

Many are still digging out though. The city is still hauling away snow in dump trucks in order to clear the streets. Clearing away 4 feet of snow is a challenge and it seems our challenges are not over as the forecast is for another 5-8 inches of snow mid-week. Eeek!

Farking winter again.

It has been glorious Spring for 2 weeks. The trees are full of buds, crocuses are blooming, and daffodils are beginnig to bloom.

Now it is 32 degrees and expected to be cold with lows in 30's and highs in 50's for the whole 7 day forecast.

And we have not seen the little lost hummingbird for a week. I hope it took advantage of the warm weather to head out for South America. But I worry. It was such a little trouper all throughout December and the January Freeze. I hope it is OK.

It's been cold and drizzly today

We're forecast a shower or storm today, though still the usual 31C/88F. However the next few days we're forecast an "afternoon shower or thunderstorm" and then "showers" and "showers". Also, the maximum temperature is forecast to drop to the sub-30s (29C/84F)...brrr, chilly.

There's nothing on the radar at the moment, even out to 512Km/318mi, so the storms'll probably be stuff that develops relative local, rather than from bigger weather systems. The showers, however, might come from the tail of the ex-tropical cyclone up in the Gulf.

Rain...that'll be nice.

After a couple nice days, Flagstaff is to get 3-5 inches of snow overnight again. That would be on top of the 4 feet we got last week. The city was just managing to dig out the sidewalks. (Think driving through tunnels of snow.) The good news is that cross country skiing should be great this weekend.

...and now storms possibly heading our way (and already at Katti's Cat's?) and storm warmings current, but just missing us. There're occasional rumbles on the horizon. Forecast is still for three days of showers from ex-TC Olga.

Still, it's all just a threat. I'll believe the rain when I see it, strip off, and dance nuded-up under it.
