I joined the buywise club late in December last year. Could anyone tell me more about the exclusive club special promotions, or when it will be held next? I'd like to plan my purchases, but I'm not sure what to expect for the promotions.

Fictionwise is changing. But so far this year they've sent out special coupons every weekend for members. Seems like that may continue. Other random good sales for members are periodical. But you always get the extra 15% off.

Although it seems as if standard micropays are gone now from regular purchases? I've only looked at a couple but if they're not on sale, I'm not seeing any kind of rebate.

They seem to have quickly and quietly vanished away a few weeks ago, yes. At first I wrote it off as being a side-effect of changing things back to normal after the Yule sale, but it would appear to be a permanent thing.

Well, there are a number of rebates listed for books on my 'wish list'. Not as many as there used to be, and only for credit card purchases, but they exist. Most of them aren't on sale other than the rebate.

Check the 'genre' tag on those books. I'd bet they're all fantasy, dark fantasy, erotica, or romance. All books in those genres are currently on sale, either 45% off (multiformat) or 45% micropay (DRMed). If they're multi-format, they'll show a sale price:

Reg. Price: $5.50
Sale Price: $3.03
Club Price: $2.58

if they're DRMed they'll just show the rebate:

Reg. Price: $6.99
Club Price: $5.94
Micropay Rebate (credit card transaction only): $2.67
