I think the biggest thing I like is no stylus, and in order to make things big enough for finger input, everything is necessarily much larger. For my ancient, diabetes afflicted eyeballs, that’s important! My wife still has a WinMo 6.1 phone (HTC Mogul), and whenever I have to help her do things, I find myself squinting to read the screen, and poking through the less than intuitive interface to figure it out. With Android (and WebOS), I am naturally led to the required screens. Usually just by touching the large in your face menu button. Last edited by wodin; 01-27-2010 at 01:31 PM. | |

I have never used a winmo device so I can not comment on it. But, I have a Droid and LOVE it, I use Aldiko as my reader and with come help from dark reverser and calibre have been able to read whatever format I would like on it. The screen is fantastic and the apps I have are nothing short of amazing with more being addded every day. Someone earlier mentioned shying away from the Droid touch screen becasue of their bad experience with the BB Storm. That is the phone I came from and trust me when I say the touch experience is light years better on the Droid than the Storm. I am new to mobile reading and have only used my Droid for it so therefore have no basis for comparison with other ereader devices. But, I have found that my Droid serves all of my purposes including ereader and mp3 player admirably.

I went from a Treo 700wx to an HTC Hero and would never go back. Absolutely love Android. Currently using Aldiko as a reader and it works great. Not to mention all the other useful apps. |

I use Aldiko on the G1 & love it. The G1 (HTC Dream) is perfect for me (real keyboard) although they say I'll never go from 1.5 to 2.0 ...
