no, there's really no one. my friends in the immediate area all work during the day, and of course it is dark by 5. Katti'sCat, there is absolutely no support from emergency services for this type of thing.

I'm trying to keep my hopes up, but between reading the dog's body language, and that last shriek... I just don't think so...

ok, yes, I'm fuzzy... surgery on the 10th, after the game on the 7th... just make sure you are home the 9th?

$*@$*@# cheaters on Modern Warfare 2. I can't go one game without running into at least one darn cheater. I swear I'm not buying anymore Call of Duty titles if Activision and IW treats a sizable chunk of their consumer base as non-existent entities. Hell I might just boycott all Activision published titles and IW developed ones.

I know, I know, crazy psychiatrist. What a cliche. But hey...
I don't see you as a cliche at all! If anything, I find your view on next year's SuperBowl incredibly sane.

They've got me scheduled for pre-op appointments on the Friday before and the Monday after the SuperBowl. Since my whole family would want to go, that would mean we would have to fly and I just can't afford 5 last minute airline tickets right after Christmas. We had planned to drive down and stay with my folks in Naples and go over to Miami for SuperBowl weekend. The whole thing would take about a week. I'm a little bummed but in the long run, having the surgery is more important.

Really annoyed atm. I am currently trying to get back into the workforce (why the hell i don't know) after taking a year off.

I am applying for jobs (that's a start) and I don't mind writing all those stupid letters. But what has me really peeved is that I have to complete those insane online applications over and over again even when it is with the same organisation. I thought the keep my stuff on file, as they so nicely put in their 'Dear Jane' letters - grrrrrrrrr

I agree: that sort of thing is very irritating.
But there's nothing to stop you from saving your applications, and pasting in any beautifully-crafted passages into later forms.

My partner is going through something similar. Hundreds of online applications. Some accept PDF, some WORD, some only Text and some a combination. Some have a maximum file size and get rejected so we try to shrink them down somehow. Some have a wee text window in which your're supposed to paste your nicely laid out resume. It's a nightmare under pressure to get that income rolling in again.

Yeah, I'm living it now! How do you cram 32 years of experience on a single page?

Yep, I'm there as well. I have a one-page summary followed by 7 pages of "more detail"

I think sometimes that works against me. Age/experience discrimination is Real!

It's near impossible, unless you've been working at the same place and doing the same job for the last 32 years.

Then, when you finally get an ok resume uploaded, they ask you all the questions regarding your education and experience that are already listed on that that very resume. It is oh so tempting to just fill in the blanks with, refer to resume...refer to resume...refer to resume you dumb @##**&...rrggg.

BAH. Of course my wife wants me to go out in the middle of the rain and get her some chick flick ( No greater love) at block buster and a starbucks treat.

I dont mind so much having to go, but I swear sometimes that woman waits until I am settled for the night before she sends me off. It's as if my test of love for her is am willing to put back on my pants. (im wearing house shorts...dont get excited lol)

*grin* may make a short stop at the local pub for a quick beer though...to keep warm.
