I was wondering how many of you use the "lock" feature on your ereader? I also was wondering if it was stolen is there a way around the lock feature!?
What are your thoughts? |

I have never used the lock feature.
I don't know the answer but is it possible to work around the lock by doing a hard reset? |

I don't have a tendency to use any lock features either, though it makes that maybe I should.
I'm sure there most be some way around them, there always tends to be! I would interested to know aswell if anyone had any theories? |

The way around it is to do a hard reset. That will erase any data that's on the device.

I had it locked but couldn't do anything with the usb. I have to leave it unlocked. I might lock it if I travel with it. dunno yet.

Do you have any "sensitive" information on it that you wouldn't want anyone else to see? That's really the only use of the "lock" facility.

Of course if I had any Harlequin books on it, not only would I lock it, I would spike it to the desk to prevent anyone from finding out! ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by HorridRedDog; 01-23-2010 at 11:47 AM. |
