Yes, the Zire72 has a 3" screen... Sounds very small these days, but it's still serving me well...

![]() That's the other thing with many of the new readers, they're too big! I want something that fits comfortably in one palm. I think I saw somewhere in the control panel where you can enable/disable smilies. Have a great day! |

Hi Lene,
I'm in Canberra, and I have a Hanlin V3, bought from DA Direct. The Hanlin is now being badged as an EcoReader (at least, it is at DA), and Christine was incredibly helpful. Very happy with the device, and the service from DA. Now getting books that don't have georestrictions, and that I want to read, that's definitely another thing : ( |

I just were not happy with the Hanvon N516, and bought a Kindle2... It's like comparing volkwagens to limosines... and buying a kindle from the US was cheaper than buying a 6" device from Australia...

I have, like some others here, the Hanlin V3. It was bought through DA direct before they launched their branded ECO reader. The price was high but the service excellent.
As someone else said on these boards the Hanlin (Astak/ECO/Papyre etc) is aesthetically 'Soviet style'. Balanced against that it has unparalled format support and decent, evolving firmware. On the whole I recommend it. However I think there is a whole slew of new devices to hit the market this year, which should open up options and bring down prices. And if Australian retailers don't sell them someone on ebay will. |

I've got a Nook. Very happy with it
![]() Price wise the EcoReaders are just not equal to getting a Kindle or Nook imo. |

I have a Sony 505 which I absolutely adored - until I bought the Kindle DX. I am so in love with the DX that I can not believe that I didnt go that way initially. The only problem with it not being international is to get books instantly ( which does not bother me at all) and you are unable to get samples which was a big draw card for me. That was solved when the Kindle came to Iphone so I get the samples on the iphone then decide to buy the book and download via computer. That process has saved me $100 already on books that I would not enjoy. Natalie |
