There is a file missing in the Downloads. There is supposed to be a modified Universal Flasher that you need. Why it's not there, I have no idea. That is why it's not working.

I was using TUGzip, which normally works very well, but for some reason it decided not to extract the empty folders. Using the software that's built into Windows XP, I was able to extract all of the files.

The new PRSPlus_Firmware_Installer_1.0RC.zip has the new_opt.img already in the zip. The installation guide just hasn't been updated. Step

4. Copy new_opt.img from release archive (get the latest version from here you need the file called "...Firmware...") to SD card root

of the current installation guide is no longer required.

Kartu in my case i have installed a difference files aplicationstar, storagestart, main and mainstorage and i can shutdown the reader when holding the buttton central of the joypad and next page when i press the button right of the joypad.

I am sorry, but I won't support third party code, don't have that much time. Neither do I get why is it such a big deal to bind shutdown button for both books and menu views.

The settings, by the way, are saved in /database/system/PRSPlus/settings/<addon name> file. So users could easily exchange them with each other.

yeah, kartu, made it easy to assign different functions to buttons/joypads and we don't have to reflash to change it, it's GREAT. This is way better than the OLD way. I just made it so in menu or book mode the Center Joystick HOLD for 5 seconds turns the 505 completely OFF.
And I can make the keys anything I want, amazing.

The only thing that probably a lot of us could find useful could be the dictionary feature, and I know if it is possible , Kartu is the Man to figure it out! No offense to anybody else, maybe others could do it, and if you guys can, many that own the 505 will bow down to you with gratitude and good karma!

Kartu I've configured with key bindings the holding button center joypad in menu and reading, but if this modification is made in menu then the function enter when is only press the center joypad doesn't work, but this modification is made in reading follow working as enter when is only press the button center joypad. is it normal or for the opposite there is and error in key bindings when in menu?

I am not sure I understand what you mean. Could you post the content of your Key Bindings file from /database/system/prsplus/settings folder?

Yeah, I didn't understand what he meant either?
What function did he assign to the Center Joy pad HOLD, I put "shutdown". Then I put "shutdown" in both Menu and Book mode so shut down would work if I was on Menu or READING a book.
Maybe my example will help him to clarify what he meant when he responds back.

When i said "configured holding center joypad" I refered as shutdown. so in this case only works the function enter when in reading and not when in menu. whereas the function shutdown works in both.
