Yea.. It's hell getting old.
What makes me feel old are the things I can remember, such as:

- Saturday morning cartoons before Scooby Doo.

- Star Wars when it was a new movie (and the only Star Wars movie).

- The Captain and Tennille when they were a new group.

- Listening to Casey Kasem on new American Top 40 show.

- Typing a manual typewriter.

- Doing my computer work on a Commodore 64 computer.

- Listening to my music on a mono reel-to-reel tape recorder.

- Hee Haw when it was a new show on CBS (an American Television Network).

Talking about rollators... My grandmother never wanted one, because if you had a rollator, you were old (she does have one now, but she can't really move without it anymore, due to bad hips, she mostly uses it so she can rest her rump somewhere )

And my other grandmother gets offended if you stand up in the bus so she can sit Though, she finally did buy that electric grass mower after she turned 80...

Sounds like my Oldies - Dad didn't want one either but needs help walking after his operation as his blood pressure is still on a roller coaster ride so at least he can hang on to something.

My Grandma (90 this year) doesn't want one either because then the neighbours would think she is old

But the Oldies I did see on those rollators put drivers with road rage to shame.

Ohh, and calling my grandmother an Oldie is out of the question! I'd be disowned... (she'll be 88 (I think) this year).

I've got a twin brother, but he looks about 20 years older than me.

I have no idea why people keep getting us muddled up.

The good news is that when I go out these days, the young ladies all smile at me.

The bad news is that they're smiling because I remind them of their grandfather.

Getting old has it's advantages too - if you meet polite young people on the train: you always get a seat. Or maybe it's just that I have perfected the evil eye that makes them move
