Question Looking for the next PRS-505

Several months ago, I bought my fiance a Sony PRS-505 after doing countless hours of research online, including this forum. I ultimately chose this model because of the format support, build quality, 6" size, and was not a touchscreen (cant stand the glare on sony's touchscreen readers). Now I am looking for my own ebook reader and this model is not made anymore. I know you can purchase one on ebay or CL but I would rather get something newer, with better pdf support, faster processor, etc.

I don't care about wireless, 3G, touchscreen, or scribbling. Ideally, I would love to be able to try the device out in a store before purchasing it (though I know with a lot of the import models this is not possible). So, any recommendations for someone in the USA?

Have you looked at the 300? It's smaller, but cheaper. It doesn't have better PDF support than the 505 though. You can check it out at Borders (and other places, but I've noticed at Target they aren't on).

Yea, I played with the 300. 5" is just too small for me. 6" is a great size though I wouldn't mind a little bigger.

Have you looked at the Sony Daily - despite your not looking for wireless, etc, that might still be a good match for you...

This doesn't seem to be a heck of a lot different from the Touch Edition. And my gripe with the Touch is the awful screen glare. I fear the Daily would suffer the same issues. Thats thje reason I sought out a 505 instead of getting the Touch which had just come out.

I have been reading up on the PocketBook 301. Anyone have one of these?

EDIT: Alright, I really like the nook. I am going to head over to the store and play with one in a little bit.
